It can’t be proven completely, but it seems engineers at 3M Company were working on a design
for a brassiere, when they discovered it would make a fine face mask, hence the N95.
It is quite true that a Dr. Elena Bodnar invented a bra that converts into two face masks.
The RAD Emergency Bra (EBbra for short) was influenced by her experience evacuating and
treating children from the Chernobyl area. The bra sells for $40-60 at Ebbra.com.
